You can cancel or pause your rolling subscription at any time. You are not obligated to continue with any subscription type or period and there is NO cancellation fee.
You can cancel by:
- Logging into your account on our website. If you haven't set up an account yet, you can do so by signing up with the same email you used when you subscribed.
- Contacting us with your order number.
- Terminating payments directly with your bank.
Due to periodical price increases by Royal Mail, you may notice slight increments in delivery costs now and again. We endeavour to keep delivery costs as low as we possibly can, but unfortunately, these third-party costs are out of our control.
Of course, if you find you can no longer afford the postage, you can contact us at any time to review / refund your order, as long as you let us know before the end of the month.
Delivery aim following fulfillment email (NB Back issues are shipped within 1-3 days of ordering):
UK Royal Mail = 1-2 working days
Overseas Royal Mail = 6-14 working days
Multiple orders overseas up to 6 - these are sent separately to keep costs down for you. They will be marked 1of4, 2of4 etc.
Multiple orders overseas 7+ - these will be sent in one package.
Digital magazines will be sent to your inbox by the 7th of each month. Remember to check your spam inbox in case it has filtered into there!
Please bear in mind that we operate on a pre-order basis and our monthly subscription cycle begins at 00:00 on the 25th (London, UK time). So, the date of your first emailed issue depends on the day you start your subscription. For example, if you start your subscription:
Between the 1st to the 24th, you will be emailed the next month’s issue.
Between the 25th to the 31st, you will be emailed the month after the next month’s issue.
(If you missed an issue you wanted, you can always buy a copy on our shop page.)
If your digital magazine hasn’t arrived in your inbox the month that it was issued (e.g. you haven’t received your January issue in January), we’re so sorry! Kindly contact us so we can sort this out.
United States deliveries
Following the Executive Order by President Trump to U.S. trade policy in 2025, some USPS post has been delayed for longer periods at the port of entry.
We ask if you could please bear with us whilst we navigate these exceptional circumstances.

If your magazine still hasn't arrived, please contact our friendly team who are always here to positively resolve any difficulties or non-receipt. We can also upgrade your subscription to Tracked if you'd prefer.
Subscriptions:
It's always best to contact us to make any changes to your address, as changes may not take effect depending on your payment day. We don't want you to miss out!
(Please note, if you ask to change your address after the 24th for the next month’s issue, it won't catch distribution in time. But we can always help with sending another issue out to your new address)
Back issues:
Please contact us as soon as you realise the error as our turnaround is typically very fast.
Firstly, login to your account on our shop page. If you haven't created an account yet, you can do this at anytime using the same email address that you initially subscribed with.
Once you've logged in, select 'My subscriptions', then click on 'Manage your subscription' and next to the Payment Method, click 'update'.
A secure link will then be sent to your email address to update your billing details.

'Standard' subscription following fulfillment email:

'Tracked / Signed for' subscription following fulfillment email:
Postage timings as above, however delivery can often be slightly quicker. You will be provided with a tracking number shortly after fulfilment so that you can track your magazine’s delivery, progress, and location.
Please remember, our friendly team are always here to positively resolve any difficulties or non-receipt.
NB If you'd like to change mid-subscription to 'Tracked' or 'Signed for', you will need to cancel your existing subscription and start a new one.
WE DON'T INCLUDE PACKING SLIPS
We use re-cyclable envelopes and like many businesses, we have eliminated packaging slips as an initiative to reduce packaging waste. Any details regarding your purchase can be found on your account page.
NB If worldwide customers have ordered multiple copies, packages under 6 issues will be sent individually to keep under 100gms weight ('Letter' post). We will label them 1 of 6 etc so you know which ones are on their way.
This may be because you didn’t create an account when you initially subscribed, or because the email you are using is different to the one you subscribed with. Please contact us to ask for an ‘account invite’ and we’ll send you a link straight away.
United States customers
Unfortunately, following the recent Executive Order by President Trump to U.S. trade policy, from 29th August 2025, Patch will be required to pay handling charges and import taxes on every magazine sent to the US.
However, clear guidelines and service codes are still not available. The Royal Mail helpline is experiencing heavy call volumes and on the occasions where contact is made, assistants are still not uniformly certain themselves.
What this means for you (as far as we know):
- The additional import duties will likely need to be reflected in your delivery charge. The increase should be minimal, but we will let you know as soon as we have clarification.
- Your September 2025 issue will likely be sent out a little later whilst we await clarification. We assure you that every payment by US customers will be honoured.
- You are very welcome to switch to a digital subscription in the meantime. You would just need to cancel your physical subscription and start a new digital one.
We are informed (and very much hope) that when the system is streamlined, the new system will simplify customs clearance, enabling a faster delivery turnaround. We also understand that by paying fees in advance, this will prevent customs fees being charged again on your doorstep*

Worldwide - Customs tax on your doorstep:
As our magazines fall under the HS code of ‘periodical / printed matter’, they are broadly exempt from import taxes/duties when they arrive at your doorstep.
However, if local depots deem otherwise, handling / custom taxes could possibly be charged. The charge will differ depending on the country.
On the first occasion, if you wish to refuse payment, your magazine will be returned to us. However, by emailing the receipt/proof of fees due, we are happy to send you a digital magazine for that month's issue, and provide a full refund of the postage costs.

We accept Paypal, all currencies and major credit/debit cards.
If you are outside the UK and experiencing difficulty with payment, it may be because you are attempting to pay in your local currency instead of GBP. To resolve this, ensure you do not select the option to convert your currency when prompted.

You are always charged on a monthly basis - paying for one magazine plus postage, each month, on the same day that you started your subscription.
(Currently there are no yearly or quarterly payment options)
We work on a pre-order basis, so delivery of your first issue depends on the day you start your subscription.
For example, if you start your subscription:
Between the 1st to the 24th, you will receive next month’s issue.
Between the 25th to the 31st, you will receive the month after next month’s issue.
Magazines are shipped out the first days of the issue month
eg. June's issue is sent out between the 1st-5th June

Multiple orders of 7+ magazines -
These will now be sent together. (Please see our FAQ on customs tax).
Multiple orders up to 6 magazines -
It is much more economical for our customers if we send packages up to this amount separately. This is because they qualify for Royal Mail 'Letter' post. The other benefits of this are:
· It stops you having to pay any international courier postage fees or local customs taxes
· It does not require a customs sticker which can cause magazines to get stuck in customs depots
Your magazines may arrive on different days, but will always be marked eg. 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc. Please give a little time between deliveries for the full order to arrive.
